GenCon
Who's going to GenCon Indy? Is it arrogant of me to ask if we have a large enough community to do a 20 by 20 get-together there? Am I gonna ask anyway?
Me! Yes! You bet!
And, while I'm at it, what are the little cons you go to that are really great and ought to be wider known? For me, the answer is DunDraCon out in Northern California; it's a great con, gets a few thousand people every year, and has a wide variety of games. It's worth the trip.
And, while I'm still at it, I wonder if it'd be possible to play an abbreviated game of Lexicon at GenCon? Probably not; I can't imagine how the logistics would work.

I'd do the 8 entry telephone pad mode. Get a big bulletin board and some push pins, hand out those big index cards and limit people to one side of the card and it has to be legible. I'd probably, if I was very ambitious, pre-print the cards with a title block and a 'see also' block.
Set a schedule, then folks tack their entries up on the board. Then you could do some simple graphic interlinkings later on.
Could be fun.
But no I'm not going to GenCon. While I recognzie some arents do it, its just not for us.

Argh! I'd love to meet some of the 20x20ers there, but this is looking like the first year in a while I won't be going. More's the pity.

I'm hoping to get to GenCon this year, but it's not a definite plan yet. I have to start looking into the logistics and costs of travel soon.

I'll be there, and I certainly be up for a Lexicon LARP.

God willing, I'll be there.

Alas, I will be unable to attend.

What about Origins? Not that I'll be there -- my gaming group was considering going this year, but the general consensus was we were all to broke to make the trip. We're planning on spending a weekend gaming at home instead, but we also swore to make a concerted effort to hit the con next year. After that, I think we'll be back to GenCon. Going four or more years without hitting GenCon is hard, but given what I heard about this year's GenCon, giving them a few years to work out the bugs in Indy is probably a good idea.

I'm not planning to go, but I might change my mind and come visit a friend in Indy.
I think we could do a get-together at TBR, since at least four of us will be there.

I'll be there, participating at the Forge booth and generally having a good time carousing. I'm a no go on Origins.
